Firekeeper golf course is the newest economic endeavor of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the hottest new golf property in the Midwest. The course is located in Mayetta, Kansas 15 miles north of Topeka just off Highway 75. Firekeeper is the first signature course of four-time PGA TOUR winner Notah Begay III, the only full-blooded Native American on the tour. He designed Firekeeper in partnership with Jeffrey D. Brauer, ASGCA. Brauer has designed other Kansas courses, Colbert Hills in Manhattan and Sand Creek Station in Newton.

Firekeeper Golf Course was ranked #9 in GolfWeek's Best New Courses in 2011 list.

This 535-acre reservoir is located 1.5 miles west of Holton, Kansas on Hwy 16. Banner Creek hosts 34 RV spaces, as well as shelter houses, and a swimming and sand beach. Expressions of Dolls and Other Caricatures is located on the lower level (one flight of stairs)  of Expressions Flower and Gift.  The museum features dolls from 1890 to today.  There are over 400 dolls displayed and four elaborate doll houses.

Holton was the birthplace of Frances Pomeroy Naismith. Frances met and married James Naismith, son of Dr. James Naismith the creator of basketball.  While James fought in WWII Frances returned to Holton, bringing with her the original handwritten rules of basketball.  James and Frances's son has provided a copy of those rules that is displayed in a special exhibit at Expressions of Dolls and Other Caricatures along with other treasured and historic items from the Pomeroy Naismith family.
